His childhood was rather odd – he was an ordinary child, doing the usual things children do… until 4 not much happened in his life. Then suddenly everything turned – what seemed unusual to others, became ordinary to him. At four he became accustomed to driving all kinds of children’s cars, jumping from high fences and doing all kinds of stupid things to the point, when coming home without bumps, bruises or bleeding wounds was impossible. Racing bikes and roller skates in summer and skiing in winter have become his passions since elementary school. Growing older he started experimenting with his equipment – biking through a snowy forest and skiing down the wet marl in a flourishing vineyard. He was never particularly fond of walking and long marches. This is probably due to the two-hour walk in the dark with skiboots on and skis on his shoulder when as an eight year old boy he experienced what happens, if you decide to go for one more run after the ski station is closed. As a consequence of his exploring adventure an entire squad came looking for the little fellow lost in the woods including 30 lift operators, coaches, parents and others… His teenage years were spent in total relax… that means with loads of adrenaline of course. Love for adrenalin and velocity made him become one of the best in the world in the Alpine disciplines. After graduating from secondary school he experienced the enlightenment of his life and enrolled in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana. And put downhill skiing aside. His enlightenment, however, extinguished in less than six months. Sitting in classes, listening to endless lessons and looking the snow-covered mountains through the windows just didn’t fit Filip’s lifestyle. Instead, freeride, freestyle, slopestyle, skicross, 4cross kept roaring inside him and made him achieve more. In the summer time, he likes to keep active with MTB dirt jumping and freeride.
